I am passionate about helping people feel more at home in their bodies in all stages of life. In supporting the release of physical tensions and patterns that have been absorbed through the nervous system as a response to life’s stresses and strains, and come into a greater felt sense of balance, stability, and freedom.
I have been working with people through bodywork and movement since 1997 within many organisations including the NHS and also in private practice.
I discovered Craniosacral therapy through addressing my own health issues. It helped me so much that I went on to train as a practitioner, qualifying in 2015.
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle yet powerful treatment that offers an opportunity for the body to recognise and release deeply held areas of tension and contraction that the body has absorbed through life’s knocks and shocks, stresses and strains.
It is suitable for all ages and stages of life including pregnancy.
Working with Babies, Children
and in Pregnancy
Birth can be a beautiful experience but sometimes labour can be long and difficulties can arise. The bones of babies’ skulls are not yet fully formed, they are like soft membranous balloons with islands of developing bone which allows the head to travel down through the birth canal but as a consequence the baby may experience strong compressive forces and restrictions that can be held in the body after birth.
Compassionate Inquiry is a trauma informed, somatic based psychotherapeutic approach developed by Dr. Gabor Maté.
I help guide you into a deeper relationship with your body, gaining greater understanding and freedom from the unconscious beliefs and stories that are held within our being and in relationship to others.
” I cannot emphasise enough how helpful being able to access regular treatments has been. I work in a very stressful context where I have to help others with their distress: the sessions have allowed me to tune into my own body and to help me take care of myself.”
HR Manager, London
“Deborah is a beautiful, sensitive and spiritual practitoner who has lifted me out of many a doldrum over the past few years. I can wholeheartedly recommend her both as a lovely person and great therapist.”
Val, Complementary Health Therapist
"I've been on such a wonderful journey with Deborah during my cranio-sacral treatments. Her style is totally integrative. She listens to your body and heals tension and trauma wherever it emerges. I am indebted to her amazing work, thank you."
